Yuki is the Rat of the zodiac. He is known as "The Prince" at school and he's very pretty and refined.
Yuki has many admirers at school, some say half of the student body, but has a hard time being social;
he wishes that he could be friends with other people, rather than being admired and praised from afar.
Yuki has suffered a traumatic childhood
at the hands of Akito, the head of the Sohma clan. Akito locked him up and mentally tortured him.
In effect, Yuki has a somewhat low sense of worth and a claustrophobic fear.
With Tohru's help, however, Yuki is gradually able to loosen up.
Yuki's fangirls hate it when Yuki gets closer to Tohru,
and use harassment to try to drive her away. They claim they are trying to "protect" Yuki from Tohru, but the truth is,
they are merely bombarding him with one-sided love and adoration; Tohru's the one protecting Yuki.
It was revealed that Yuki was the one who saved Tohru and brought her back to her mother when she was young and
had gotten lost; Tohru has never forgotten that memory and keeps the hat (which actually belongs to Kyo)
that Yuki gave to her. For that, Yuki always has a deep respect and love for Tohru for actually "needing" him.
Generally quiet and polite, Yuki is an amazing martial artist who enjoys gardening.
He has a garden in a small patch of forest near the walkway leading to Shigure's house which
he and Tohru call their "secret base".

the trip is over
I'm leaving. I'm broken and tired. Things have been said, time to go to bed. It's time to go on and tomorrow will come. Time moves so fast, there's no more of it for me to look back.
Before I head to bed, I'd like to try it out again. I want to remember the happiness, nevertheless short or not, that made me light up that would never cease.
I can hear the high school tune. It's calling us to come inside. When tomorrow comes, my life will change once again. Beyond summer is my class waiting to embrace me. It's over.
Hard as letting go, it's always hard for me to go through transit from summer break to a new semester.
Let's call it a day. I'm turning off the lights.

from gray to coloured
Uo-chan and Hana-chan came for a quick visit and asked Shigure-san if Tohru could come with them. They went to see a movie, from what I recall. I was bummed when I heard their request. Shigure looked at me and smiled. I had a feeling that it was going to be a long day.
"Of course. Tohru-kun very well deserves a time- off." How I wished there would be another way to make her stay and take her break. I need to learn how to deal with these circumstances. I need to mature over these petty events.
Afterwards, she went upstairs to get dressed. I was left in charge to entertain the guests. Although, it was not a walk in the park.
The air was rather heavy and the ambient ever uncomfortable. Shigure took off with a grin on his face and headed back to his room. I was left in the same room with the so-called yankee and the denpa. One could only imagine the uneasy moment. After Shigure, along came a stupid cat-- great, just what I needed.
"Woh, ohayou, orange top." remarked Uo-chan.
"Tohru's going to hangout with you guys, huh?" Kyo sounded a little cynic.
"Unless, you're not okay with that." claimed Hana-chan.
"Iie, iie. Daijobou desu. It's no problem." I told them. Kyo-kun ticks me off when he thinks out loud.
"Uo-chan, Hana-chan. I'm ready. Kyo-kun, Yuki-kun, do you need anything while I'm gone?"
"Nah, I'm fine... I don't know about Kyo." Honestly, I wanted to tell Tohru to come home as early as possible.
"As for me... nah, don't worry."
"Dyah, in that case, itte kimasu." then Uo-chan and Hana-chan stood up.
"Itte rasshai."
"Don't worry, she'll come home before you know it." said Hana-chan.
"Ehehehe." creepy. Then they took off. Lunchtime. We heated up from what's left of breakfast. We called Shigure for lunch, but he said that he already ate -- Hmm... damn excuse to wash the dishes. We've longed for Tohru-kun, from each bite. Lunch was bittersweet. After cleaning the dishes, Kyo-kun and I had no idea what to do next. Soon we've realized that we were bored stiff. Not much of a choice, we were stuck on the TV. We didn't care what was on. I remember watching the window shopping channel for two hours.
It was quiet outside. I could only hear the birds and the trees as time slowly passed. We had nothing to do but wait.
"This bites. I'm going to sleep." complained Kyo. I could only remember waking up in the living room and hearing Tohru's voice.
"Yuki-kun, have you been waiting for me?"
"*rubs eyes* Yawn, you could say that. The TV made me sleep. What time is it?"
"Past four o'clock." then she showed me a paper bag -- with a familiar whiff.
"Takoyaki?"
"Hai. Would you like some?" asked Tohru-kun. I sure do!
"M-hmm. Arigato." my heart smiled again. Life was sweet once more.
"Hoy hoy hoy hoy hoy hoy. Chotto chotto chotto. All that writing made me hungry." Shigure got out of his den and hurriedly asked for a piece.
"Ano, where's Kyo-kun?" wondered Tohru-kun.
"Ahh, he's probably upstairs. Wait here, I'll call him. Kyo-ku..." then, from out of the blue, Kyo ran downstairs. It's as if someone poured cold water on him while he was asleep.
"TAKOYAKI! Gimme gimme gimme!" ... today's not a bad day after all.
