Yuki has suffered a traumatic childhood at the hands of Akito, the head of the Sohma clan. Akito locked him up and mentally tortured him. In effect, Yuki has a somewhat low sense of worth and a claustrophobic fear. With Tohru's help, however, Yuki is gradually able to loosen up. Yuki's fangirls hate it when Yuki gets closer to Tohru, and use harassment to try to drive her away. They claim they are trying to "protect" Yuki from Tohru, but the truth is, they are merely bombarding him with one-sided love and adoration; Tohru's the one protecting Yuki. It was revealed that Yuki was the one who saved Tohru and brought her back to her mother when she was young and had gotten lost; Tohru has never forgotten that memory and keeps the hat (which actually belongs to Kyo) that Yuki gave to her. For that, Yuki always has a deep respect and love for Tohru for actually "needing" him. Generally quiet and polite, Yuki is an amazing martial artist who enjoys gardening. He has a garden in a small patch of forest near the walkway leading to Shigure's house which he and Tohru call their "secret base".

Saturday, April 16, 2011 better Saturdays I went to sleep early last night. Around 8pm. So when I woke up at 7am, Saturday, -- about 11 hours of sleep -- my body doesn't want to sleep anymore. Everyone knows that I'm half-awake every morning. But there was this strange sensation that I had to run when I woke up. I put on my running shoes and changed into my jogging suit. The weather was fine and I went for a morning jog. When was the last time I went for jogging? I don't know. Seriously. Unusual, isn't it? Besides Akito, I might be the next one in-line who has a weak body. Especially around this time of the year. But I didn't really want to stay in bed any longer. Instead, I wanted to go outside. It gets interesting further. Once in a blue moon, that's how frequent I jog. But what are the odds of jogging together with Saki-san? Saki-san was jogging and she had her hair tied behind. At first, I thought she was someone else, but when she looked at me, and said, "What a pleasant surprise. These vibrations are most unusual, wouldn't you agree?" it was Saki-san all right. We jogged for a while. And then we took a break at the nearby convenience store. I didn't really eat anything for breakfast. Apparently, Saki-san also went straight running when she woke up. So both of us spent more food than expected. I didn't know she like sweet drinks. "Goodbye. Please continue to take care of Tohru." she bid farewell and mysteriously vanished. When I came home, everybody was wide awake, and Honda-san was making breakfast. I said I already had breakfast. So Kyo and Shigure cheered because they get more portions. "Where did you go?" asked Shigure. "I ran into a pleasant surprise." I said. still not getting it at 10:05 AM Saturday, April 02, 2011 a peaceful day in front of the TV Kisa-chan came over today. The moment Momiji heard that Honda-san caught a fever, both of them came rushing. Honda-san is better now. Actually, there's no more fever. She's just resting. But we know that nursing back your health after a fever dissipates is very important. When I told them this, Kisa-chan nodded with determination not to bother Tohru-oneesan. Momiji-san pestered Hatori, even though I told him not to bother Hatori either. Hatori actually visited yesterday, but boy... Momiji is always concerned whenever Honda-san is sick. Both of them, Momiji and Kisa-chan, stayed over. The house only had a young audience. Shigure didn't come home. And so both of them just watched TV all night. It's as if they were behaving themselves. Usually Kisa-chan would come knocking on Honda-san's door, even Momiji, so that they could spend time together. It was different tonight. When Honda-san went downstairs for a drink, Kisa-chan and Momiji lit up! "Nee-chan!" "Tohru! Kombanwa!" "Kisa-chan? Momiji-kun? Why, it's very nice to see you. What're you watching?" "Cartoons!" cheered Kisa-chan. Then Honda-san spent several minutes watching TV with them. I really wanted to say something, but I didn't. I just watched the TV with them without a word. Still Honda-san was still in her pajamas. That means, she slept all day. She must feel still exhausted. "*YAWN*" then Honda-san wiped her eyes. "Tohru! You gotta go back to bed now, we'll tell you how it finished." No, I didn't say that. It was Momiji. "Ano, are you staying over?" Honda-san asked. "You bet!" said Momiji. Then Honda-san smiled and rubbed Kisa-chan's head a goodnight. When Honda-san returned to her room. Kisa-chan looked at me. "Oniisan, what do you want to watch?" "Sou sou! Yuki, let's have a movie marathon!" Momiji laughed. still not getting it at 9:41 PM ![]() |
